Wearing Diversity
Wearing Diversity is an art campaign that invites diverse communities to write or draw messages on a t-shirt. The "community t-shirt art" is then sent to elected politicians and government offices to be displayed in their office for one month. During the month, the person is invited to wear the shirt to meetings and at the end of the month is invited to sign the back of the shirt.
The purpose of this activity is to remind politicians and high ranking public officials of the diversity in their community. The program gives a voice and physicality to persons who might ordinarily be forgotten.
