Dare to Stand Out (DTSO) is Jer's Vision's anti-bullying conference program that empowers youth and promotes diversity across Canada. This year, over a dozen DTSO conferences are being organized, with themes such as anti-discrimination, anti-homophobia, anti-transphobia, and intersectional anti-violence. Jer’s Vision is proud to present the second Dare to Stand Out (DTSO): A Canadian Youth Forum and Conversation on Sexually-Transmitted Blood Borne Infection’s (STBBI’s). This national conference invites youth leaders from all over Canada to understand the relationships between STBBI transmission, bullying, and discrimination.

In Communities
Day of Pink is the International Day against Bullying, Discrimination, Homophobia, and Transphobia in schools and communities. We invite everyone to celebrate diversity by wearing pink and organizing activities in their workplaces, organizations, communities and schools.

Jer's Vision uses art as an interdisciplinary tool to educate about diversity. Through our theater and visual arts programs, we invite youth to better understand the experience of discrimination through the perspective of an audience and participant.

This partnership summit, will be Canada's first LGBTQ-A* Service Provider's Summit. Organized in collaboration with the Rainbow Resource Centre and numerous other community organization, the event will bring together organizations in 2013 to discuss national initiatives, collaborations and resource sharing.

Awards & Scholarships
The Jer's Vision Visionary Award recognizes community leaders who have done something incredible and inspiring to promote diversity in their community. Previous award winners include: Matthew Good, George Strombouloulous and the Hon. Hedy Fry.

The scholarship recognizes youth who have demonstrated a commitment to their school or community in addressing issues of discrimination. Applications for the award are due annually on Aug 15th. The award is open to students entering or currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

Jer's Vision & the Embassy of the Netherlands are proud to present: Jer's Pink Tulip Grant: Canada's first grant for schools to run diversity and human rights events in their school. These 250$ grants are now seeking applications--so apply NOW. The deadline for application is Oct 18, 2011; with successful recipients to be notified on Oct 21, 2011.
